So Friday (yesterday) was the first day of Spring Carnival. We watched the women's dog sled race, missed the wood chopping and tea making contests (because me and the kids needed a nap!), and made it back to the community center at 8pm for kids game night. Gavin and another 6yr old kid pretended to know how to play chess (then Joe tried to teach Gav how), the girls played with some beads, and then later they dyed eggs and made tissue paper flowers. We left at 10:15 and were exhausted! It was a ton of fun!
Today we will watch the 13-17yr old dog sled races. Then the 1-9 yr old dog sled races. Gavin and Macy may be running dogs today! There is a piggy back race and another contest today then we will come back later this evening for a talent show! That will be fun!
Update: Turns out Macy would have to pee the moment Joe puts her on the sled so she did not run dogs. Gavin did and loved it! He was so smiley even though he fell at the end LOL!
I will add pictures as soon as I can get my camera cord (its in the kitchen and I am laying on the couch trying not to barf!) so check back soon!
