So I've had the most fabulous 20-30 minutes of my life... LOL ok maybe not but it was close! I woke up this morning feeling much better than I had lately (for those of you who know what's been happening here... know that's a big deal!) and although I got really tired and such around lunch time my curiosity couldn't keep me at home... I just HAD to go check the mail. So I waited (as always) until the kids were down for their nap and I grabbed my Carhartt and pulled it over my jammies which was a big deal for me! I usually get my long johns and jeans on, a bra and shirt, then I'll brush my hair and whatever but NOT TODAY! Today I went out in my oversized men's sweatpants, tank top, and Joe's zip up jacket. I didn't even brush my hair! (remember I am wearing my coveralls over all this so what's under is actually irrelevant) So I step outside and at first I feel like the first person that walks by will say something like, "HaHAha NICE jammies!" but it never happened! I didn't cross a single person! (Not that they would have seen anyway) I felt soooo comfortable and it was snowing too! The most perfect light snow ever. It was so quite and I felt relieved of anything and everything. So I enjoyed my walk to the post office and guess what?! All the boxes I had eagerly been waiting for arrived! Woo Woo! The only problem was that there was about 5 small boxes and no way to carry them expect to balance but I wasn't about to let this damper my day! So I balanced them and walked out smiling. I stopped at the end of the ramp and thought a pop sure would be nice and walked on to the store. The man that has been working there always offers a smile when I come in... now it may be because he is high and everything is funny but I'd like to think that he was happy to see me. I found the Dr. Pepper and got a can of juice for the kids payed my $6 and walked out the door (being held for me) again with a smile. The sound of the snow under my boots was the loudest sound in my head which was amazing because I swear there is always something going on up there! The deeper the snow the louder my steps. And then as I'm lost in the rhythm of my steps a Raven flies so close to my head that I can hear the wind in his wings with every flap. WOW thanks ol' fellow for adding that to my perfectly perfect walk. Now I am home sitting here writing this, sipping my pop, and listening to my new Christmas CD's (that just arrived in the mail!!!)! Now doesn't that just make you happy to be alive?! Perfect. Simply perfect.
The only thing that could make this better is a clean house and Christmas tree to trim! Pray we get home for Christmas! We are all eager to spend the holidays with our families and friends.
