The kids at the "JIG"

These are pictures of the kids all dressed up at the jig. Gavin was a pirate (not a girl buzz Joe!) but as you can see it didn't quite turn out... it's the first time he's gone with a store bought costume and I don't think he liked it very much... I guess that means I am doing something right. Macy was tinker bell and although it wasn't perfect she was happy enough to have a tutu and wings (she thought she could fly every time she moved her wings!). Molly was a pumpkin but not your normal pumpkin costume. She wore a tutu and a potato printed onesie all made by me and she loved it so who cares what they look like. LOL they each got $5 for participating in the costume contest... my girls may have won prizes for the prettiest but they were terrified of all the costumes and cried until we took them away. They were much less frightened as the masks came off though. Joe won 1st place for tallest and I won 2nd place prettiest! Woo woo! The picture of Joe (the guy all in white w/ a tall hat) is at the carnival the next day in front of the crazy background I painted in a hurry the morning of. But it is the same costume he won a prize for. We had a lot of fun at the jig... the "fresh" veggie tray was a treat! I think we ate more of that than cake! Not easy to get veggies around here. But oh the cake was GOOOOOOD! Can't you tell!?
